Will “Super – Capacitors” Make Batteries as We Know them Today Obsolete? (Video)

Super Capacitors ( TeK-THinK) Batteries , batteries everywhere. From your cell phone and music player to your car or motorcycle. Not to mention your remote controls. Batteries are the weak point of our electronic society. Once a battery is no longer usable it becomes an environmental nightmare to be disposed of properly.

There is a technology that may make batteries as we know it today obsolete. Graphene is the material that makes modern ultracapacitors possible.

Graphene is made from carbon so when you are done with the energy storage device you can throw it in the trash or even in your garden. Will ultracapacitors replace chemical batteries? If we look to clean energy technology such as solar pv cells the missing link is energy storage. Combining solar pv with ultracapacitors may be the match made in cleantech heaven.

We would love to hear your comments and opinions on this. Enjoy.
